Insect-O-Cutor Transformer Information
All Insect-O-Cutor electrocuting fly-killers are fitted with a custom designed transformer and capacitor, which generates 4,000 Volts.
This combined with a specially designed killing grid with exactly the right grid rod diameter and spacing, gives Insect-O-Cutor units optimal trapping power.
The transformer/grid assembly has been refined over the last twenty years to ensure that it will catch all flying insects from the smallest fruit fly to the largest wasp or moth, whilst avoiding insects sticking to the grid or exploding into the air.
Insect-O-Cutor units have been tested in our laboratories against all sizes of flying insect pest. Small insects do not have to come into contact with the grid bars to be killed – if they fly between the grid bars, the moisture in their body is enough to generate a spark and kill the insect.
